Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates the tool. That company processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email are retained as needed to prepare a response. They remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers automatically receive basic technical information about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help show which pages draw visits and where browsing sessions end. Analytics providers combine that traffic information for measurement. You may block cookies through browser settings, although doing so can change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of personal criminal-record information is maintained, assembled, or sold here. The content identifies where Clay County records may be requested, including the sheriff, criminal courts, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. Official access remains governed by the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, and criminal-history dissemination law, including O.C.G.A. § 35-3-34. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is never compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted to a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices, which we do not control. Review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Clay County sheriff, court portals, Georgia agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect collected information. No internet system is completely secure, so absolute protection or freedom from a breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and personal data from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If such data has been provided, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary by residence. Georgia consumer-protection law, including the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. § 10-1-390 et seq., may provide additional remedies. You may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
